Frontline Voices
Since the nation’s founding, one of the defining contributions of nonprofit organizations has been to bring community experience, practical knowledge, and public purpose into policy debates and civic discourse. Nonprofits are often the first to see emerging needs and the first to understand how public decisions are affecting life in local communities. They can serve as indispensable sources of insight for policymakers and the media. Yet many nonprofit leaders are understandably consumed by the urgent demands of service and mission delivery, leaving little time to cultivate the relationships that make this broader civic role possible.
The Frontline Voices program is designed to help nonprofit leaders become trusted, go-to resources for public officials and journalists. When legislative staff need perspective to shape a speech or inform a policy decision, they turn first to people they know and trust. Journalists, too, rely on credible voices and real-world expertise.
If you are interested in launching a Frontline Voices program for grantees in your community, we would love to hear from you.
